SWOODBox
SWOODBoxes are SOLIDWORKS parametric sub-assemblies that allow you to drag-and-drop hardware components such as drawers, hinges, shelves, dividers, cable grommets and any 3D elements you wish to reuse (including using SOLIDWORKS functions such as sheet metal or weldment tools). The machinings associated with these components are also embedded in SWOODBox and they also propagates the material removal to the surroundings panels.
Connectors
A furniture design software with connecting elements such as Lamellos, dowels, excentrics, tenons/mortises, etc. Allows you to add them to the projects by automatically detecting the contact surfaces between your panels and wood parts and by controlling them via parametric functions.
Frames
Frame creation features will allow you to position easily your panel in your 3D environment. The positioning constraints are then automatically created which allows for modifying easily your cabinets dimensions and parameters. The frames created can then be saved as templates in a library and reused at any moment. It is possible to save any kind of frames, from simple cabinets to finished furnitures with hardware, that you would like to reuse.
Material Management
With SWOOD Design, manage all the parameters related to the wood material such as the grain direction, the panel thickness, the stock extensions, the curved panels, the composite panels, and the components such as edgebands or laminates by simple drag and drop.
Parametric Modelling
All SWOOD features are parametric which means that dimensions can be changed at any time in a project. This allows you to create reusable custom furniture models or make last-minute changes to your assemblies easier.
Layout Mode
Create entire rooms using the layout mode (kitchen, store fitting, dressing room, etc.) by reusing your frames templates and easily change the dimensions of the various pieces of furniture that make up the assembly.
Automatic Data Export
Once the design is finished, it is possible to export all the data concerning the assembly: cutting list, hardware list, program list with label information, bills of material, costs of the different components, and panel saw export. The export is completely customizable and allows to the output of documents with various file formats: XLS, PDF, CSV, HTML, XML, TXT etc.
